This article in The New Yorker. This one right here: "Is Mars Ours? Should we treat other planets like natural resources or natural parks?" I mean just last year the Pentagon and the DoD started admitting that UAP's (unidentified aerial phenomenon), or if you're Old School like me, UFOs, are real and they don't know what the hell they are or where they're coming from. That's nice. Couldn't have told us that...oh, seventy-five years ago? I'll be writing another post where I make this a particular bitchpoint. Back to Mars. We're suddenly talking about staking claim to another planet when we've all but fucked this one up so spectacularly? And whose planet is it exactly, since we are just a bunch of divided oligarchies waiting for capitalism's bloody end in several of them? The human species doesn't have much... But it has audacity. And hubris.
